Privacy notice

This is the notice for this website and its mailing list. The full privacy policy for the app will be published here before the app launches. This page will be replaced by it, at this address.

This website

• It sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
• The fonts and pictures are served from this site, not from another company.
• Like any website, the host keeps ordinary server logs (such as your IP address and the page you asked for) for a short time, to keep the site working and secure.

If you register your interest

• What we ask for: your email address and your tick to say you want to hear from us. You can also tell us which phone you use (iPhone, Android or both) and, if you like, tick a second box to hear whether Pointazo-branded tags go on sale.
• What we do: we send you one email asking you to confirm that the address is yours. Once you press the button in it, we email you when Pointazo launches, and occasionally before then. We use your phone choice to decide where to build and launch first, and to send you the right launch email. Nothing else, and we do not sell your address or share it for anyone else's marketing.
• What we record: the address, your choices, when you ticked the box and which wording you saw beside it, and when you confirmed. We do not record your IP address or anything about your browser.
• Who holds it: our own database, hosted by Microsoft Azure in the UK. The emails are sent through Brevo, a French company acting for us, which sees your address in order to deliver them.
• How long: if you do not press the confirm button within a week we delete your address. If you do, we keep it until you unsubscribe or until twelve months after launch, whichever is first. Every email has an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe we delete your address and keep only a scrambled fingerprint of it, so that nobody can add you again by mistake.
• Why we may do this: because you asked us to, by ticking the box and confirming. You can withdraw that at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Write to hello@pointazo.app and we will answer within one month.

Who we are

Pointazo is run by its developer, who decides how your data is used for this site and mailing list. The legal name and address will be added here as soon as the company is registered. Until then, write to hello@pointazo.app.
